Sizing Information:
If you buy a Dog Cage for an adult dog, please get a crate big enough that he/she can fit in from tip of nose to base of tail (at least 4 inches longer in each direction). He/she should be able to stand up, sit, turn and lie down on his/her side stretched out comfortably.

If you buy an full-size adult Dog Crate for your puppy, it will be hard to housebreak him/her. The "ideal" is to get a small crate and then to let the crate grow with him/her. The reason for this is that if there is any left over space in his crate, the dog will sleep in one corner and use the bathroom in the other. You want to get a crate that is just big enough for him/her to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably. They have an instinct to keep their beds clean, so they will try their best to "hold" it until you let them out to go to the bathroom.

An option is to buy a divider panel to subdivide the cage, then move it back as the dog grows.

If you are in doubt of size, please opt for the next size up. A crate slightly too large is better than one too small.
